About the position

The PR Marketing Analyst (Copywriter) at Maricopa Community Colleges is responsible for creating and refining audience-driven content across various platforms to promote enrollment, brand awareness, and student retention. This role requires a skilled writer who can develop compelling content for both digital and print media, collaborating with other team members to enhance the college's marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine short-form and long-form copy for web, events, and campaigns.
• Craft impactful copy for various marketing campaigns, including print and digital ads, paid social media ads, radio spots, and video scripts.
• Proofread and review marketing materials for accuracy, quality, audience messaging, and brand alignment.
• Collaborate with other writers and senior staff to develop marketing and communications content that meets department goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, journalism, or related field.
• Two years of professional experience in public relations and marketing activities, projects, and campaigns.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with knowledge of AP Style.
• Interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice-to-haves

• Three or more years of experience in a marketing or advertising role.
• Three or more years of experience in copywriting.
• Three or more years in customer service.
• Experience in developing and editing high-quality written materials.
