About The Position

The Apprentice Tool & Die Maker position at Connecticut Spring & Stamping is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to learn the Tool & Die trade under the guidance of skilled workers. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Trade School graduate or demonstrated equivalent skills.
• Basic math knowledge.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to use basic measuring equipment.
• Ability to read simple blueprints preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with basic measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic Tool & Die functions as assigned.
• Conduct general operation and maintenance of machines, including lubrication and proper use of coolants according to apprenticeship program standards.
• Attend related schooling covering topics such as blueprint reading, shop sketching, metallurgy, and elementary physics.
• Maintain required records related to the apprenticeship program.
• Observe company processes and make recommendations for improvement as part of lean initiatives.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Adhere to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
• Assist or instruct other personnel as required.
• Perform other duties as may be required.
