About the position

The Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager at INEOS-Grenadier Pasadena Rusnak is responsible for overseeing the Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Department, ensuring maximum profitability and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing sales objectives, developing strategies for growth, and leading a team of sales consultants to achieve sales targets while maintaining high ethical standards and strong relationships with manufacturer partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Pre-Owned Vehicle (POV) Sales Department to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  • Develop and monitor sales goals and budgets to achieve company objectives.
  • Promote departmental sales initiatives and handle client inquiries effectively.
  • Establish annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, and expenses.
  • Analyze market data to identify growth opportunities and develop strategic plans.
  • Monitor sales and profitability on a weekly and monthly basis to ensure goals are met.
  • Forecast sales goals and objectives on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements affecting POV sales.
  • Establish delivery procedures and ensure proper follow-up with clients post-sale.
  • Process commission sheets and monitor payroll records for sales consultants.
  • Communicate with the new vehicle Sales Manager regarding inventory needs.
  • Appraise incoming POVs and manage reconditioning expenses effectively.
  • Attend auto auctions regularly and manage wholesaling activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external sources for buying and selling units.
  • Participate in strategic planning and evaluate performance for improvement.
  • Hire, train, and manage the performance of the POV Sales Department team members.
  • Conduct sales training meetings and enhance customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Ensure proper turnover of clients to the Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager.
  • Identify opportunities to improve franchise effectiveness and team capabilities.
  • Foster positive relationships with manufacturer partners and ensure ethical standards are met.
  • Manage POV inventory and develop effective marketing and advertising campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field or equivalent training and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related automotive pre-owned vehicle sales experience.
  • Current California Sales License.
  • Current California Driver License with a clean driving record.
