About the position

Under the direction of Maintenance leadership, this position will organize and execute all aspects of the plant’s Predictive Maintenance (PdM) needs using various predictive technologies and techniques. This position also has strong functional ties to the department maintenance leadership to assist with the corrective actions needed to address identified issues when performing CBM reviews and data collection.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of data collected from CBM Condition Based Maintenance routes.
  • UE data collection, IR data collection and analysis, Vibration data collection and analysis, and root cause failure analysis (RCFA).
  • Develop the CBM program under the direction of the maintenance leadership & 3rd party resources as needed.
  • Analyze vibration data and perform vibration route data collection on critical equipment.
  • Manage vibration software database, analysis parameter settings, and alarms.
  • Monitor and lubricate rotational equipment components using Ultrasonic (UE) technology.
  • Detect compressed gas and steam leaks and report for recommended repairs.
  • Perform Mechanical and Electrical IR PM and become Arc Flash trained.
  • Analyze IR data and make reports.
  • Perform off-line quality acceptance testing on new motors and on-line and off-line testing on critical motors in operation.
  • Analyze data & report on recommended repairs for Motor Circuit Analysis (MCA).
  • Process lubricant samples and analyze sample data for Machinery Lubrication Analysis.
  • Manage PdM equipment and be responsible for its safe usage and storage.
  • Assist in the creation/update of PdM routes using the appropriate technology for the application.
  • Train others in the use of the different predictive technologies as needed.
  • Assist with addressing discovered issues while performing CBM routes and equipment inspections.
  • Develop and maintain positive rapport with customers, suppliers, contractors, Kraft associates, and 3rd party storeroom associates.
  • Serve as leader or participant on assigned teams & support team decisions.
  • Comply with QRMP Quality Risk Management requirements for Maintenance/Engineering department.
  • Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards.
  • Facilitate timely completion & effectiveness of QRMP corrective actions for area of responsibility.
  • Carry a Kraft-issued phone at all times and respond to emergency calls.
  • Provide coverage for peers on vacation, training, sick, and meetings.
  • Utilize the SAP system to document maintenance activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Management.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical equipment, components, and parts with a background in industrial, mechanical & electrical processes.
  • Knowledge of Ohm’s law, DC and AC circuit theory, and three-phase induction motor theory.
  • Safe use of Tools & Electrical Measuring Instruments including Multimeters, Current Probes, and MegOhm Meters.
  • Will be required to achieve level I certification for Vibration, Oil Analysis, and Infrared technologies within one year.
  • Minimum of 2 years mechanical/electrical background in an industrial setting.
  • Strong keyboarding and computer skills, and ability to interface with Microsoft Office business application software.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving techniques, communicate effectively, demonstrate leadership, and plan effectively.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey ideas/facts clearly and concisely.
  • Must meet pre-qualification criteria and be willing to upgrade skills in areas where skills are marginal.
