About The Position

The Prep Cook at Urban Burger LLC is responsible for preparing and cooking food items that require longer preparation times. This role ensures that all daily prep tasks are completed before service, following recipes and product directions to create a variety of dishes for consumption in the restaurant.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in food preparation or cooking is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks foods requiring longer preparation time.
• Ensures that the daily prep tasks are completed prior to service.
• Follows basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs.
• Operates a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables, and trim and cut meat, poultry or fish.
• Tastes products, checks production, and keeps records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.
• Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment, following all company and regulatory rules and procedures.
