About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team, responsible for operating and programming press brakes to achieve precise bends and tolerances in sheet metal fabrication. The role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with various materials and tools.

Requirements

• 2+ years in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing, with focus on press brake operation.
• Hands-on experience with Amada RG80 or similar press brakes.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with forklifts or heavy material handling is a plus.
• Workplace safety certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with additional equipment like shears, punches, and laser cutters is an advantage.
• Interest in learning new technologies, CNC programming, or automation.

Responsibilities

• Press Brake Operation specifically an Amada RG80 or similar machine.
• Set up, program, and operate press brakes for precise bends and tolerances.
• Perform die changes, back gauge setup, and machine calibration.
• Work with multi-axis press brake controls.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Understand bend allowances, tolerances, and critical dimensions.
• Work with sheet metals like stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
• Select appropriate tooling for material types and thicknesses.
• Calculate bend allowances and part layouts.
• Use precision tools like calipers, micrometers, and protractors for accuracy.
