About the position

As a Printing Press Operator at No Other Impressions, Inc., you will play a crucial role in the production process by setting up and operating a 6-color 29" printing press. Your primary responsibilities will include starting the press, making necessary adjustments to enhance performance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during operation. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance on the press to ensure it operates smoothly and efficiently. Quality control is a significant aspect of this role; you will need to follow established reporting and recordkeeping procedures, promptly reporting any problems to your supervisor. Compliance with all safety and health regulations is mandatory, and you will be expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning the machinery after use. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of production and plant processes. You will need to possess analytical and numerical skills, as the role involves performing mathematical calculations in various units of measurement. The ability to follow both written and oral instructions is essential, as is the capacity to work effectively within a team. Physical demands of the job include the ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, and stand or walk for extended periods. This role is open to both part-time and full-time candidates, with a pay rate of up to $28 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of offset press experience running 40" Heidelberg or equivalent with coater
  • Detail-oriented
  • Understanding of production and plant processes
  • Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
