Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Pricing Analyst- Level 2, to join our Launch & Missile Defense Systems - Missile Defense Systems team in Huntsville, AL. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position is expected to work at the Redstone Gateway facility. Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage proposal efforts.
  • Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications, company policies, and Government regulations.
  • Coordinate with contributors from cross-functional organizations to ensure quality proposals are submitted within customer deadlines.
  • Work closely with Program Management and Supply Chain Management to ensure supplier quotes comply with requirements.
  • Research and critically analyze large volumes of data using spreadsheet and data mining skills to isolate and prioritize key data.
  • Work with the proposal team to develop creative solutions to complex contractual issues.
  • Summarize and present detailed proposal information in internal management reviews and customer fact-finding meetings.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and participate as a member of the contract negotiating team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of professional experience in proposal, pricing or financial related experience– OR – Master’s degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, nested formulas, macros, data validation), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to lead meetings in person and virtually and confidently convey pricing data to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to efficiently collect, compile, and generate reports from large data sets.
  • Ability to manage timelines and be adaptable to change in a fast paced, deadline driven environment without sacrificing work quality.
  • Ability to efficiently utilize and quickly navigate MS Windows based PCs and standard business applications.
  • Ability to work under general supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • Expertise with Excel Pivot Tables, VBA working with Macros.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other Government Regulations.
  • Proficiency in ProPricer.
  • Experience working with Proposals.
  • Experience conducting cost analysis and risk modeling.
  • Experience with probability modeling (@Risk or Crystal Ball).
  • Experience working with Basis of Estimate (BOE) and analyzing BOE quality.
  • Experience with parametric modeling (such as SEER-SEM, PRICE True Planning, etc.).
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management.
