About the position

The position involves gathering disparate data from various sources, analyzing and normalizing the data to ensure quality for analysis. The role is responsible for providing consistent, relevant, and accurate data, along with guidance on the available data and definitions for analysis. The individual will serve as a resource to assigned clients in their area of expertise, compiling raw data, conducting research for industry trends, and normalizing data into a centralized format. The role includes analyzing, reporting, and preparing cost analyses, as well as defining data limitations and preparing reports with visual aids. Recommendations based on findings will be provided, and participation in departmental and interdepartmental projects is expected. The nature of the work requires increasing independence, with guidance provided only on complex issues. The work environment is comfortable, with minimal unpleasant conditions, and no travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Gather and compile raw data from various sources.
• Conduct research for industry trends and benchmarks.
• Normalize data to be incorporated into a centralized data format.
• Analyze and report on data, making comparisons to industry/company benchmarks.
• Determine trends and prepare cost analyses.
• Define data definitions and document data limitations.
• Prepare spreadsheets for data analysis and reports with charts and graphs.
• Provide recommendations based on findings and analysis.
• Participate in department and interdepartmental projects.
• Train junior level support or professional personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM fields such as Analytics, IT, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or Engineering.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and Data Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• PhD in STEM/quantitative fields such as Operations Research, Applied Math, or Machine Learning.
• Experience in Pricing, Revenue Management, Commercial Excellence, Marketing, Supply Chain, or other data-intensive functional areas.
• Direct MRO Distribution experience.
• Experience leading a highly technical team.
