About the position

The Agile Coach at Compeer Financial is responsible for implementing and advancing Agile methodologies across the organization. This role involves working collaboratively with all levels of the organization to enhance Agile practices, drive transformational change, and ensure alignment with the financial industry's regulations. The position emphasizes servant leadership to empower teams in delivering high-value results and offers a hybrid work option with up to 50% remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and influence all levels of the organization through cultural change to mature Agile methodologies.
  • Train and coach leadership and development teams to analyze systems and design an Agile Transformation strategy.
  • Consult and provide thought leadership to design and promote a scalable Agile transformation.
  • Design and influence Agile principles and Scrum practices across the organization.
  • Collaborate with teams to inspect, adapt, and improve Agile practices over time.
  • Develop and lead a culture of continuous improvement for Agile delivery processes.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level.
  • Define, design, and implement continuous improvement programs for high-performing teams.
  • Coach teams on Agile techniques and provide one-on-one coaching to improve Agile practices.
  • Design and lead Agile workshops for teams and stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by setting goals and milestones.
  • Conduct Agile maturity assessments and partner with leadership to implement improvement plans.
  • Establish and implement metrics to optimize team delivery and measure business agility.
  • Perform ongoing assessments of team Agile maturity and recommend changes as needed.
  • Track and report on key Agile performance metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of Agile methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in implementing Agile methodologies.
  • Possess one or more Agile certifications such as CEC, SPC, CST, or PST.
  • Expert experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or similar role in software development teams.
  • Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Expert experience with Agile project management tools like Azure Dev Ops and Jira.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of financial industry regulations and standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in the financial industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in coaching and mentoring Agile practices to various roles.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
