About the position

The Principal Agile Coach at Compeer Financial is responsible for implementing and advancing Agile methodologies across the organization. This role involves working with all levels of the organization to enhance Agile practices, drive transformational change, and ensure alignment with the financial industry's specific needs and regulations. The position emphasizes servant leadership, coaching, and collaboration to empower teams and improve delivery processes, while also contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and influence all levels of the organization through cultural change to mature Agile methodologies.
  • Train and coach leadership and development teams to analyze systems and design an Agile Transformation strategy.
  • Consult and provide thought leadership to design and promote a scalable Agile transformation.
  • Design and influence Agile principles and Scrum practices across the organization.
  • Collaborate with teams to inspect, adapt, and improve Agile practices over time.
  • Develop and lead a culture of continuous improvement for Agile delivery processes.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level.
  • Define and implement continuous improvement programs to create high-performing teams.
  • Coach teams on Agile techniques and provide one-on-one coaching to improve Agile practices.
  • Design and lead Agile workshops for teams and stakeholders.
  • Establish and implement metrics to optimize team delivery and measure business agility.
  • Perform ongoing assessments of team Agile maturity and recommend changes as needed.
  • Track and report on key Agile performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in implementing Agile methodologies.
  • Expert experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or similar role in software development teams.
  • Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.
  • Expert experience with Agile project management tools like Azure Dev Ops, Atlassian suite, Jira.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of financial industry regulations and standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in the financial industry is preferred.
  • Possess certifications such as Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or Certified Scrum Trainer (CST).
