The Principal Agile Coach at Mayo Clinic will play a pivotal role in transforming the organization into a high-performing, agile environment. This position involves working closely with scrum leads, teams, and senior leadership to facilitate learning and develop Agile best practices across the organization. The Principal Agile Coach will be responsible for communicating agile principles, scrum practices, and the overall operating model, ensuring that these concepts are understood and implemented effectively throughout the organization. This role requires a champion for using metrics and other objective measures to assess team performance and promote a culture of continuous improvement. In this leadership position, the Principal Agile Coach will lead the Scrum Leaders Community of Practice, fostering cross-team collaboration and sharing of best practices. The successful candidate will be tasked with navigating organizational change while developing Agile leadership capabilities to achieve sustained results. They will need to possess a strong orientation toward action and a curiosity to explore innovative solutions to challenges. The role is designed for someone who is not only knowledgeable about Agile methodologies but also passionate about implementing them in a way that enhances efficiency and quality within the organization. Specific responsibilities include leading individuals and teams in designing and executing their own plans for expanding Agile practices, managing Agile coaching engagements with department leaders, and supporting Value Stream and Product Workstream planning across teams. The Principal Agile Coach will also develop Enterprise Agile Standards of Practices and an Agile Playbook, conduct executive-level reporting on transformation activities, and ensure alignment of Agile strategy with organizational goals.
