We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Customer Solutions Engineer. As part of a team, you will support business development and growth for Instrumentation & Control Systems in the Safety Systems and Setpoints portfolio. Your role will involve analyzing customer requests and requirements to develop unique and competitive solutions, gathering market intelligence to guide product development, and collaborating with internal groups such as Sales Teams and Engineering organizations to develop strategies and solutions to address customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support business development and growth for Instrumentation & Control Systems in the Safety Systems and Setpoints portfolio.
  • Analyze customer requests and requirements to develop unique and competitive solutions.
  • Gather market intelligence to guide product development and suggest innovative ideas before customers need them.
  • Collaborate with internal groups such as Sales Teams and Engineering organizations to develop strategies and solutions to address customer needs.
  • Coordinate offer development by working with engineering teams to determine labor and material costs and activity durations.
  • Facilitate activities such as cost estimate, risk analysis, technical description, project schedule, compliance matrix, and project cash flow with appropriate technical subject matter experts.
  • Work with Commercial Integration team to support the finalization and issuance of offer letters.
  • Participate in technical and commercial meetings with customers.
  • Develop presentations and present to customers and other stakeholders.
  • Track and report on specific product opportunities, including prioritization and driving to closure.
  • Support input to resource and financial plans.
  • Facilitate customer emergent issues and review of lessons learned.
  • Attend industry conferences to build and develop customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 4 years of experience in an industry technical role.
  • Instrumentation & Controls experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarization with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, Power Point, Visio, and SharePoint administration.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to foster alignments between internal and external customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple project tasks to meet simultaneous deadlines.
