About the position

As a Principal Cyber Security Architect at GE Healthcare, you will be responsible for the security architecture of AWS cloud and Enterprise Network environments. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert (SME) and trusted consultant, reviewing business application architecture during migrations, and collaborating with AWS Cloud and Network teams. You will work independently and as part of a team, influencing technical decisions across various domains of cyber security.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in domain technical and business discussions regarding future architectural direction.
  • Assist in analyzing, designing, and developing a roadmap based on current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
  • Assess security and architecture of business applications during migration.
  • Participate in the infrastructure architecture governance model.
  • Support architecture and design of cloud solutions ensuring standardization, consolidation, security, regulatory compliance, and application system qualities for different business use-cases.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies as they become available.
  • Coach and mentor team members and colleagues in horizontal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors or a minimum of 10 years of related professional experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience scripting/programming (Powershell, Bash/Zsh, Python, Go, etc.) or developing cloud-native services/applications.
  • Proven experience in securing AWS environments for large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of AWS security features and security architecture principles regarding Amazon's platform (Well Architected Framework).
  • Strong understanding of network and security principles and their implementation within AWS, with CloudWAN experience being a plus.
  • Recent experience with Palo Alto NGFW technologies, including Prisma Access.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS Cloud Security Architect certification.
  • Experience using automated configuration management or infrastructure as code systems (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Cloudformation, etc.).
  • Knowledge of the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF) and associated best practices.
