Principal Engineer, Machine Learning

About the position

As a Principal Engineer on the AI Ops team, you will be responsible for building the next-generation routing engine for the Internet using Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing large-scale machine learning pipelines.
• Utilizing Java and Python along with a wide range of internal tools built on top of Apache Spark, TensorFlow, and other Big Data technologies.
• Making critical technical decisions and shaping roadmaps and visions that drive the success of transformative machine learning projects.
• Guiding teams through the orchestration of large, high-impact projects.
• Navigating the complexities of large-scale production environments and ensuring the seamless integration of machine learning models into internet-scale services.
• Creating synergy between business goals and technology innovation by harmonizing the efforts of cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software development experience.
• Deep understanding of the intricacies inherent in machine learning systems.
• Proficient in crafting machine learning models, including neural networks and decision trees.
• Fluent in machine learning frameworks such as SKLearn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Proficient in Java and/or Python.
• Successful track record of navigating large-scale production environments.
