About The Position

The Principal Software Engineer will join an agile development squad at Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations Technology, focusing on software engineering excellence for corporate actions applications. This role emphasizes customer obsession, stability improvements, and scalability, while supporting a dynamic technology organization. The engineer will leverage strong technical skills and empathy for customers to deliver impactful projects, ensuring sound technical direction in collaboration with the team's Architect.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing web applications, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Completed three or more projects on commercially available applications.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven track record of success in dynamic technology-focused project teams.
• Ability to data-mine and troubleshoot issues effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SWIFT messaging structure.
• Familiarity with cloud technology, preferably AWS experience/certification.
• Strong financial and/or corporate actions knowledge.

• Develop, maintain, and test corporate actions applications.
• Deliver projects that positively impact systems, products, teams, and customers.
• Collaborate with the Scrum team to ensure adherence to coding standards and methodologies.
• Analyze complex systems and troubleshoot issues effectively.
