As a Product Designer on Applied Intuition's design team, your primary responsibility will be to understand and solve the deeply complex workflows of our users, who are software engineers developing autonomous vehicles. These engineers depend on our tools daily to test and enhance the safety of their vehicles, and we maintain constant communication with them to ensure our UX solutions are impactful. Our design process is built around speed, as we ship new software versions every five weeks. Designers at Applied Intuition are expected to be highly collaborative while also taking individual responsibility for business-critical objectives. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design process for multiple products, from concept through implementation. You will work quickly to ship new features within our five-week release cycles. Direct communication with our users is essential; you will engage with them through Slack, weekly office hours, and in-person meetings to understand their pain points, autonomy development workflows, and gather feedback about our tools based on their daily usage. Collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers will be crucial as you create and validate UX solutions for highly technical and complex engineering challenges. Additionally, you will author Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and usability test reports for each release to inform the roadmap of the products you are responsible for. You will also have the opportunity to expand and evolve our "Dragonfruit" design system, ensuring it meets the needs of our users and the evolving landscape of autonomous vehicle technology.
