About the position

Datasite is seeking a customer-centric Product Designer to join our distributed team, focusing on building solutions that resonate with our global customer base. This role is pivotal in conceptualizing and implementing design strategies that enhance user engagement and introduce new data integrations across our platform. As a key contributor, you will be detail-oriented while also maintaining a broader perspective on product design. In this role, you will lead and execute design projects from concept through completion, ensuring high standards of design quality and user experience. You will collaborate with product teams to understand user needs and business goals, translating complex requirements into clear, customer-centric design solutions. We value attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture, with a preference for candidates experienced in developing and contributing to a Design System. Your work will also involve integrating API capabilities and system integrations into your designs, ensuring seamless functionality across the platform. You will conduct user research at all stages of the product lifecycle, from early strategic discovery to usability testing, gathering user feedback to continuously improve the product experience. Implementing and championing Product Led Growth strategies will be essential, fostering a user-centric approach that empowers users to discover, adopt, and derive value from the product independently. Additionally, you will perform market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors, using these insights to keep our products competitive and innovative.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute design projects from concept through completion, ensuring high standards of design quality and user experience.
  • Work with product teams to understand user needs and business goals, translating complex requirements into clear, customer-centric design solutions.
  • Develop and contribute to a Design System, ensuring swift, high-quality outputs and data-driven decision-making.
  • Integrate API capabilities and system integrations into designs, ensuring seamless functionality across the platform.
  • Conduct user research at all stages of the product lifecycle, from early strategic discovery to usability testing and gathering user feedback.
  • Implement and champion Product Led Growth strategies, fostering a user-centric approach that empowers users to discover, adopt, and derive value from the product independently.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams through active participation in Agile ceremonies, ensuring alignment for successful product outcomes.
  • Perform market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors.

Requirements

  • 6+ years' experience as a UX/Product Designer
  • History of working with and contributing to a Design System
  • Solid understanding of UX Laws and visual design principles
  • A passion for speed, quality, and evidence-based learning and decision-making
  • Experience with designing for professional networking platforms
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise products in complex domains such as financial services, healthcare, and education
  • Technical aptitude and attention to detail, while always keeping the bigger picture in sight
  • Exceptional strategic thinking abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to convert strategy into actionable tactical plans
  • Strong data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret data to extract meaningful insights
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to align product strategies with overall business goals and financial objectives
  • A customer-centric mindset, with the ability to represent the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented approach to overcoming challenges
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to evangelize, influence, engage, and collaborate effectively across various teams and levels of the organization, as well as customers and partners
  • A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience working with cross-functional Agile teams in remote/hybrid environments
  • Experience with software such as Figma, Dovetail, Pendo, and other BI tools, as well as productivity/collaboration tools such as ProductBoard, Monday, JIRA, Slack, Mural, Office 365.
