About the position

The Principal Product Owner for EPE & IPE Data is responsible for partnering with R&D Finance to strategically plan, deliver, and manage solutions that provide access to trusted external and internal project expense data. This role focuses on enabling reporting, cost forecasting, and financial compliance while contributing to a data-driven strategy through the establishment of Data Products. The position requires a strong understanding of product management competencies and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-value opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with R&D Finance on strategic planning and delivery of data solutions.
  • Establish Data Products from R&D Finance systems using Agile DevOps methodology.
  • Identify, prioritize, and realize high-value opportunities in data management.
  • Monitor and report on key data quality metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with R&D stakeholders to manage and prioritize product backlog requirements.
  • Design and deliver products and services that meet business strategy and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security and risk management policies and external regulations.
  • Translate customer requests and industry trends into product requirements.
  • Manage service levels and support issues, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Support change management and adoption strategies within the Digital+Tech team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Data Science.
  • 5+ years experience in product design and delivery of Digital/Technology solutions.
  • 3+ years experience in Life Science and R&D processes.
  • 1+ year experience in PL/SQL and data governance.
  • 1+ year experience with creating dashboards and Data Visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • 1+ year experience in Agile/scrum delivery.

  • Track record in successful IT strategy development and program delivery.
  • Experience with data fabric technologies and platforms.
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations.

  • Experience in Product Management.
