About the position

The Principal Salesforce Engineer is a key technical role responsible for delivering expertise in the design, development, and enhancement of the Salesforce ecosystem. This position requires a deep understanding of complex business processes and the ability to align technology solutions with business initiatives. The role involves leading design sessions, mentoring team members, and overseeing the implementation of high-quality business solutions on the Salesforce platform.

Responsibilities

  • Architect Salesforce.com solutions from the ground up.
  • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality business solutions on the SFDC platform.
  • Oversee and lead design/coding sessions, developing and implementing solutions.
  • Articulate Salesforce.com application design and resolve technical/design conflicts.
  • Implement solutions covering Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Force.com, Chatter & App-exchange applications.
  • Utilize Salesforce core languages: Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and SOQL.
  • Integrate Salesforce.com with other applications using various technologies and tools.
  • Mentor and foster growth of peers and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar area of study, or High School Diploma/GED with four years of relevant work experience.
  • Ten years of previous experience in Salesforce development and architecture.
  • Significant knowledge of project management/change management in acquisition/development life cycles.
  • Hands-on experience in writing highly complex code and performing code reviews.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Javascript Frameworks such as Angular JS, React.
  • Experience developing for Salesforce Communities and Lightning App Builder.
  • Hands-on experience with Visual Studio Code IDE, GitHub, Jira.
  • Experience with Agile methodology project organization (Scrum).
