About the position

The position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining optical and electrical test setups, as well as developing test procedures for silicon photonics chips and SIP-based optical subsystems. The role requires the design and implementation of test procedures for optical subassemblies, including lasers, micro-optics, free-space optics, and associated electronic devices such as TIAs, laser/modulator drivers, and SerDes chips. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for designing and debugging test methods and fixtures to characterize optical alignment systems, managing test data collection, archiving, analysis, and presentation, and maintaining documentation related to the operation of test systems. The role also includes providing design feedback to development engineering to improve device performance, maintaining test equipment and instrument calibration, identifying and purchasing test parts, and writing equipment preventive maintenance procedures.
