About the position

As the Principal SuccessFactors Technical Product Owner at Pega, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical product vision and capabilities for PeopleHub, our branded SAP SuccessFactors solution. Your primary responsibility will be to define comprehensive use cases, personas, and a detailed backlog that aligns with the needs of our People Organization and other business units. You will ensure that these capabilities are well understood across the organization and actively participate in working groups for strategic initiatives that impact HRIS systems and PeopleHub. In this role, you will regularly update the People Technology Portfolio roadmap based on a clear understanding of business needs, Pega's technical standards, and HRIS/SuccessFactors best practices. You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders to maintain a comprehensive backlog of requests and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the People Team's roadmap and vision. Your focus will be on the iterative and incremental delivery of features and enhancements to our HRIS systems on a month-to-month basis, ensuring that these developments are fully aligned with the broader vision for the SAP SuccessFactors system. You will also engage in enterprise thought leadership, taking accountability for clarifying uncertainties and obstacles to deliver best-in-class HRIS technical solutions. Your role will require effective communication with both internal and external customers, setting clear expectations and timelines for product releases. As the SAP SuccessFactors Subject Matter Expert, you will excel in sharing and documenting your knowledge, presenting updates to People Leadership, and maintaining a transparent intake process for monitoring requests and issues.

Responsibilities

  • Define the technical product vision, capabilities, use cases, personas, and comprehensive backlog for PeopleHub.
  • Regularly update the People Technology Portfolio roadmap based on business needs and technical best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive backlog of requests and initiatives.
  • Lead the definition, prioritization, and coordinated delivery of HRIS capabilities across design, engineering, and release management teams.
  • Focus on iterative and incremental delivery of features and enhancements to the HRIS system on a month-to-month basis.
  • Engage in enterprise thought leadership and clarify uncertainties and obstacles in delivering HRIS technical solutions.
  • Manage and prioritize the product feature backlog and development for SuccessFactors features and enhancements.
  • Work closely with the technology team to develop detailed requirements for implementation.
  • Address roadblocks to ensure completion of release and sprint goals.
  • Lead product-release plans and set expectations for delivering new functionalities.
  • Present updates to People Leadership and maintain a transparent intake process for requests and issues.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with a variety of HRIS systems (SuccessFactors, Workday, UKG).
  • 7+ years with SuccessFactors as a hands-on implementation consultant.
  • 5+ years of experience in product development or project management.
  • 3+ years of experience integrating SuccessFactors with other enterprise systems using oData API and 3rd party APIs (XML, JSON, SOAP).
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles; formal Scrum training is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize features and functions by business value and ROI.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting stakeholder needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with other HRIS systems beyond SuccessFactors, such as Workday or UKG.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages or technical skills related to HRIS integration.
