Manufacturing Design Engineers provide technical manufacturing support to a program from the early development phases through transition to production. They participate in manufacturing and test requirements development, design for manufacturing activities, manufacturing process development and factory capabilities analysis to ensure factory readiness and improve product producibility. They leverage technical knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, factory requirements and business processes to establish and execute the manufacturing plan and influence technical program decisions to support the overall program value stream. This role will be in support of the Tomahawk portfolio development programs. This will include but is not limited to: Transition to production activities, coordination of and leading production Readiness/Gate 10 Review(s), Support Delta PRR activities, interface with program managers and operations managers, Designing and implementing new manufacturing processes, new tooling development, and overall development build support.
