About the position

At Regions, the Private Wealth Strategist (PWS) provides current and prospective high and ultra-high net worth Private Wealth clients and prospects an in-depth strategic analysis to assist them in fulfilling their retirement, estate, business succession, and other financial goals. The PWS leads the wealth planning client experience for the PWM’s wealth management team.

Responsibilities

  • Provides independent, strategy-based planning approach to Regions Private Wealth Management clients and prospects
  • Leverages advanced technical expertise regarding wealth planning issues to provide specific recommendations for clients and prospects
  • Wealth planning issues include, but are not limited to, estate and trust planning, taxation (including income, gift and estate), business continuation and transition, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), risk management, asset protection, and situs considerations
  • Provides traditional wealth planning expertise needed to assess balance sheet considerations, cash flow, retirement, and financial objectives to target investment strategies
  • Serves as a wealth planning expert, partnering with Regions Private Wealth Management teams to support their high and ultra-high net worth clients and those that possess a higher degree of complexity
  • Provides wealth focused strategic training to partners that include: Wealth Advisors, Trust Advisors, Lending Advisors, Portfolio Managers, and Commercial and Corporate Banking Relationship leaders and their teams
  • Actively participates in wealth planning’s thought leadership initiative both internally and externally

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Eight (8) years of Wealth Strategist/Financial Planning experience

  • Doctor of Jurisprudence degree (J.D.)
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
  • Master’s of Law (LL.M.)
