About the position
The Family Assistant/Nanny position in Roslyn Heights, NY, is designed for a dependable and proactive individual to support a warm family of three. The role involves a combination of household support, light housekeeping, and after-school childcare for their 3-year-old son. The position requires working Monday to Friday from 1 pm to 7 pm, totaling 30 hours per week, with a focus on maintaining a tidy home and engaging with the child in fun activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to keep the home tidy and organized, including tidying up common areas, wiping surfaces, and organizing toys or closets.
- Handle laundry for the family, including washing, folding, and putting away clothing and linens.
- Run occasional errands such as picking up small items or handling returns.
- Assist in meal prep or chopping ingredients for simple dinners, with a focus on Kosher dietary guidelines.
- Pick up the family's 3-year-old from school and bring him to any scheduled activities or back home for dinner.
- Engage the child in fun activities, either at home or around town, such as park trips or library visits.
- Help prepare and serve simple meals for the child and family.
Requirements
- Dependable and proactive attitude.
- Experience with light housekeeping and laundry tasks.
- Ability to engage and care for a 3-year-old child.
