Process Engineer Intern

About the position

WACKER is looking for a Process Engineer Intern to join our team in Allentown, PA. This internship is part of our 12-week summer program at the Wacker Silicone Manufactured Innovations facility. The intern will participate in projects in collaboration with Operations Management, Production Engineering, Production Leadership, and Commercial Leadership, focusing on process optimization, procedural documentation, and operations training. WACKER is a research-intensive chemical company with a global presence, developing sustainable solutions across various sectors for over 100 years.

Responsibilities

• Participate in projects related to process optimization.
• Assist in procedural documentation.
• Support operations training initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently a rising sophomore or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering.
• Available for full-time in-person commitment from May 19th through August 8th.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Basic laboratory skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Effective time-management abilities.
• Ability to positively present the company.
