Process Engineer

As a project leader for small projects, you will execute good process safety practices in all aspects of project execution, including safety discussions and documentation. You will identify and investigate moderately complex issues and implement solutions. Your role will involve developing plans, coordinating team activities, reporting status, and ensuring successful completion of projects. You will interpret data and prepare technical presentations and recommendations to facilitate fulfillment of goals. Additionally, you will execute and lead performance improvement activities employing various process/commercial excellence methodologies, develop key performance indicators (KPIs) based on strategic objectives and performance improvement goals, and work independently under general guidance while conferring with your manager and colleagues on assignments.

Responsibilities

• Execute good process safety practices in all aspects of project execution, including safety discussions and documentation.
• Identify and investigate moderately complex issues and implement solutions.
• As project leader for small projects, develop plans, coordinate team activities, report status and ensure successful completion.
• Interpret data and prepare technical presentations and recommendations to facilitate fulfillment of goals.
• Execute and lead performance improvement activities which employ various process/commercial excellence methodologies.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) based on strategic objectives and performance improvement goals.
• Be adept at bringing process improvement projects to timely and conclusive closure.
• Plan work to achieve assigned goals and be responsible for integrity of results.
• Contribute to the development of engineering approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of process engineering experience with familiarity with Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs).
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, Lean, and Six Sigma.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word.
