Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing improvements/processes to meet HGC product design, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Participate in necessary product development and validation activities, which may include: APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning), PFMEA, Design Reviews, Prototype Builds, Process Testing (PV, Design for manufacturing, and key supplier development), 8D problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, machinery, tooling, and materials.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements.
  • Develop and support cost savings initiatives and proposals.
  • Work collaboratively with Manufacturing Cost Analysts to assist with developing product costs during the quotation phase of programs.
  • Ability to complete assignments on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to effectively build out project ROI and completion of those assignments.

Requirements

  • BSME, BSMET, BSIE degree required.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Methods and Procedures and Process Improvement.
  • High adaptive capacity to effectively manage demands and frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to efficiently manage priorities and tasks based on importance.
  • Ability to navigate and resolve internal and external challenging situations effectively and resourcefully.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, co-workers, and HGC Industries stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Understanding and/or experience using CAD tools, including but not limited to, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Nice-to-haves

  • +3 years experience in sealing, molding, and/or automotive products-related field a plus.
