About The Position

The position involves the design, implementation, and optimization of equipment and manufacturing processes for mortars operations at Sika. The role focuses on continuous improvement of processes to enhance safety, quality, supply, and efficiency, while also managing project costs and timelines. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating and redesigning processes, conducting operations monitoring and data analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in manufacturing, quality, and process optimization.
  • Excellent technical skills and analytical thinking.
  • Strong hands-on commitment and innovative mindset.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills to drive project teams to success.
  • Strong customer and quality focus with effective communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of creating SOPs, P-FMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of automated control systems and P&IDs.
  • Experience in statistical process control and proficiency in MS Office programs, including MS Visio and MS Project.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Automotive OEM customers.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 standards.
  • Experience in internal or external auditing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize equipment and manufacturing processes for mortars operations.
  • Conduct continuous improvement of processes to enhance safety, quality, supply, and efficiency.
  • Evaluate and redesign processes to improve production, quality, and packaging efficiency.
  • Perform operations monitoring and data analysis, including process capability studies and capacity planning.
  • Facilitate technology transfer from R&D, including the introduction of new raw materials and products.
  • Provide process documentation, operational procedures, and training for employees.
  • Troubleshoot daily plant operations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead or participate in project and process teams, managing project costs and timelines.
