About the position

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a qualified Process / Mechanical Engineer to support an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project in Houston, Texas. The role involves planning, organizing, and coordinating engineering projects, particularly in the design and construction phases, with a focus on mechanical systems and equipment design.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct construction document reviews as required.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects during planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Prepare and review calculations and specifications related to P&ID development.
  • Demonstrate design experience in mechanical systems and equipment design.
  • Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations and specifications.
  • Utilize computer-aided drafting applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, and construction document preparation (nuclear preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.
  • Focused primarily on relief device calculations.
  • Good client and communication skills to work across various project entities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Engineer License preferred but not required.
