About the position

Be a part of our dynamic and engaged internship program this summer. We welcome passionate and enthusiastic students curious about seeing & participating in the day-to-day operations and projects of high-end luxury brands in the jewelry, timepiece, fashion, & accessories industries. You will assist your dedicated team in executing the brand or functional strategy as well as participate in initiatives or projects to support the development or understanding of sales, culture, analytics, & service. As a Service & Process Optimization Intern, you will report to the Technical Operations Department at the Richemont Technical Center (RTC) and play an active role in projects to improve flows and processes by applying Lean Manufacturing principles and tools. You will be in daily contact with the workshop and are called upon to all levels of the company. You will lead, coordinate, train and monitor work teams, regularly sharing the progress of projects with the Technical Ops. & Projects Director.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize digital monitoring tools for more efficient management
  • Automatize data transfer into the information system
  • Create the interface of the new digital tool with a user experience focus
  • Implement visual management systems to visualize waiting queues and work-in-progress for each business line
  • Propose and implement actions to reduce lead times
  • Roll out 5S, VSM, and Kaizen methodologies
  • Perform complex data analyses to improve technical processes
  • Streamline processes by splitting technical tasks to improve efficiency
  • Support change management

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program at the time of application
  • Preferably studying Industrial Engineering and Management or a similar field
  • Excellent organizational skills and analytical thinking
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player who is excited to empower and assist others
  • Energetic and eager to assist on projects and initiatives
  • Able to work a full-time schedule throughout the internship program
  • Authorized to work in the United States; international students must have a current work visa
  • Must be available for the entirety of the internship program (June 3rd - August 9th)
  • Students are responsible for all arrangements of housing and travel
