Procurement and Supply Chain IT Project Manager

About the position

The Procurement and Supply Chain IT Project Manager will oversee critical initiatives within the procurement and supply chain domain, leveraging expertise in project management to deliver impactful IT solutions that enhance business processes and operational efficiency. This senior role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring successful project delivery from inception to completion. The Project Manager will align technology with business goals to enable the organization to meet its procurement and supply chain objectives, overseeing the delivery of advanced digital solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects in the procurement and supply chain domain, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Oversee all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Facilitate communication across technical and business teams, ensuring clear understanding of project objectives, deliverables, and progress.
• Manage risks and issues, proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks to maintain project momentum.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, including procurement policies, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular status updates and performance metrics to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Experience with project management tools and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or ServiceNow
• Experience with supply chain platforms and enterprise procurement systems, including SAP Ariba, Coupa, or Oracle Procurement
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and IT systems
• Knowledge of data governance, reporting, and analytics within procurement and supply chain contexts
• Ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
• Ability to deliver practical, user-centric solutions using analytical and problem-solving skills
• Project Management Certification such as PMP Certification
• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in project management, leading large-scale IT projects in the procurement and supply chain domain, or Master's degree and 8+ years of experience in project management, leading large-scale IT projects in the procurement and supply chain domain
