About the position
This is a highly complex and professional position responsible for planning, developing, and reviewing complex procurement goals and objectives. The role involves recommending and creating policies and procedures, leading high-level supplier and contractor negotiations, drafting complex contracts, developing cost reduction plans, and troubleshooting issues related to complex procurement. This position works closely and collaboratively with client departments and other stakeholders to develop acquisition strategies that support the strategic objectives of end users.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and review complex procurement goals and objectives.
- Recommend and create policies and procedures for procurement.
- Lead high-level supplier and contractor negotiations.
- Draft complex contracts and agreements.
- Develop cost reduction plans.
- Troubleshoot issues related to complex procurement.
- Collaborate with client departments and stakeholders to develop acquisition strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of four years of procurement or contract related experience.
- Professional purchasing certification is highly preferred.
