About the position

The Product Designer - EPX.xd at Capital One is responsible for creating intuitive and engaging digital experiences for internal Enterprise products that enhance associates' efficiency and effectiveness. This role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to advocate for user needs and deliver high-quality design solutions that improve customer interactions with financial services. The designer will engage in various design processes, from discovery to delivery, ensuring that user-centered design principles are at the forefront of product development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technology, product, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs and translate them into digital experiences.
• Participate in translating complex ideas into understandable concepts that enhance the product experience.
• Advocate for the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research, and user testing.
• Champion prioritization of design-centered product enhancements grounded in research and analysis.
• Connect with design community peers by learning, sharing, and teaching.
• Support early product definition by participating in discovery sessions to uncover customer pain points and opportunities.
• Demonstrate familiarity with design tools to deliver concepts and enable successful collaboration across teams.
• Participate in end-to-end product design, including creating process flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Design within existing standards and contribute to the internal design system and best practices.
• Support effective storytelling and presentation of visual concepts to stakeholders.
• Create high-fidelity design assets for development and market delivery.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience with User Experience design.
• Experience planning and/or facilitating workshops with cross-functional teams.
• Portfolio of work that includes examples of product and visual design.
• Experience working closely with developers and system architects.
• At least 2 years of experience with Complex Data Product Eco-Systems.
• At least 2 years of experience with visual design.
• At least 2 years of experience working with large Enterprise teams.
• Experience in Service Design or using Service Design methods and processes.
