Responsibilities

• Offer a creative, yet consistent and technically feasible, design that supports the customer's brand.
• Understand the technical aspects of plastic materials and their fit-for-use in applications.
• Ability to work directly with customers.
• Develop 2D drawings, standards, and templates.
• Assist with creating mold specifications for specific products.
• Design ancillary tooling components for use in prototype and production environments.
• Develop and manage 3D printing (currently outsourced).
• Develop FEA testing capabilities if required.
• Assist with developing long-term design strategies to stay ahead of the curve on technologies and how they can be applied to meet our customers' needs.
• Work cross functionally with operations management and the business development team.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in product design or related field.
• Proficiency in Solidworks and Adobe software.
• Strong understanding of industrial design principles and practices.
• Experience with 3D printing and FEA testing capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the food and beverage, personal care, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Knowledge of PET plastic materials and their applications.
