Product Development Data Analyst

About the position

The Product Development Data Analyst at Ford Motor Company plays a crucial role in the Powertrain Engineering team, focusing on quality data analysis and insights to support executive-level management reviews. This position involves analyzing warranty and connected vehicle data to identify emerging issues and provide key insights, ultimately contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable automotive solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from Ford's internal warranty system and multiple big data sources.
• Create executive-level presentations that include charts and narrative writing to communicate data insights.
• Assist with executive-level presentation preparation and information gathering.
• Execute various quality data requests from the IPTSE organization.
• Work with PD teams to extract, summarize, and analyze warranty and connected vehicle data.
• Enhance the use of connected vehicle data through the ideation and development of tools and methods for problem-solving.
• Promote and use Agile Data Collection methods in support of engineering problem-solving and data-driven decisions.
• Build strong and trusting relationships with business partners across Ford North American organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in Big Data Analytics.
• 1+ years of experience in query languages such as SQL, Google BigQuery, or Spark.
• 1+ years of experience with visualization skills in communicating data insights.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Big Data Analytics.
• 2+ years of experience in query languages: SQL, Google BigQuery, or Spark.
• Proven skills in team building and implementing process improvements.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
