About the position

The Product Manager for Crew Data Products is responsible for design, development, and implementation of the pilot crew data architecture and associated tools/technologies. This role will establish the foundational data layer that supports and accelerates insights and predictive analytics capabilities, ensure adherence to the established roadmap, and lead a data enablement support pod. This position will report directly to the GM - Data Products and will work closely with IT, Crew Data Insights, Flight Operations, Crew Resources, ODS, and the AI/ML workstreams across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a foundational data layer that enables seamless integration and accessibility of data across various teams and platforms
  • Source new data into a temporal data store
  • Develop and execute roadmap to improve crew data
  • Lead a data enablement support pod of 5-7 contributors from Data Products, Decision Science, and IT
  • Effectively communicate to senior leaders
  • Promote safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

Requirements

  • Experience in data architecture, data strategy, and data governance
  • Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data management tools & technologies
  • Thought leadership and the ability to influence others
  • Ability to communicate complex and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively
  • Strong organization to manage multiple workstreams
  • Proven track record of successfully working in a cross-departmental team environment
  • Applies a customer first approach and mindset to problem solving
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
  • Must be performing satisfactorily in current position
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States

Nice-to-haves

  • In depth knowledge of Delta's data sources, pilot contract and the applications are highly preferred
  • Ops Analytics and/or IT experience preferred
  • Exhibits curiosity, learns quickly, and thinks creatively to help identify solutions
