About The Position

The Product Marketing Consultant role at MetLife involves working within the Group Benefits Employer Product Marketing team to leverage customer and marketplace data. The consultant will translate insights into customer-centric value propositions and content, providing strategic guidance across a diverse product portfolio that includes Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, and more. The position focuses on content management initiatives to equip sales leaders with tools for customer engagement, acquisition, and retention.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail with solid project management skills.
  • Understanding of marketing strategy and communications, including agency management.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Robust experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and adaptability to learn new software.
  • Service mindset with a proven track record of collaboration.
  • Strong communication and creative problem-solving skills.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in marketing and/or project management role.
  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Agency experience/exposure is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product marketing leads to manage content inventory and optimize B2B creative assets and messaging.
  • Coordinate marketing legal submissions and maintain asset inventories and legal numbers.
  • Manage required state filings for B2B Group Benefits product marketing collateral.
  • Develop or update content for key marketing assets such as sales presentations, flyers, and videos.
  • Support Product Marketing leads with key projects related to content development and event coordination.
  • Coordinate deliverables with team members to ensure timely execution and distribution.
  • Collaborate with agency partners to update design and content, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • Maintain a Product Marketing team calendar outlining key deliverables throughout the year.
  • Document processes to create sustainable SOPs for future use.
  • Maintain budget tracking and reporting to Product Marketing leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiency and optimize processes.
