About the position

The Product Owner II at Mount Sinai is responsible for executing the strategic direction and continuous improvement of digital products and experiences. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product delivery, manage the product backlog, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Product Owner II will also provide leadership and consult with stakeholders to define requirements and develop innovative solutions that meet long-term business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the strategic direction and functional roadmap for the product or experience.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to differentiate in product delivery.
  • Manage the backlog of product deliverables and groom it according to learnings from qualitative and quantitative sources.
  • Consult with stakeholders to define requirements and develop solutions that translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Lead the technical design process and ensure it supports business objectives.
  • Prioritize the product backlog derived from the product roadmap and its requirements.
  • Define project timelines and capture features planned for the project.
  • Conduct retrospectives to reflect on collaboration efforts and apply insights to upcoming projects.
  • Conduct demos to showcase the value of the product or project to business groups.
  • Manage the product portfolio roadmap as a shared source of truth outlining vision, direction, priorities, and progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or healthcare discipline.
  • Nine or more years of related experience in product ownership or management.
  • In-depth knowledge of associated technology areas, preferably in healthcare technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for various audiences.
  • Ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders to resolve significant architecture issues.
