About the position

The Product Owner III - Payments at Frost Bank is responsible for leading the development and implementation of complex product areas that enhance the financial lives of customers. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create long-term product strategies, communicate project impacts, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services. The position emphasizes innovation, effective communication, and a commitment to integrity and excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class, complex, and large scale products and services.
  • Create long-term product strategies in adherence to Frost Executive direction.
  • Effectively communicate a project's impact to the quadruple bottom line, priority, development approach, and release plan to stakeholders.
  • Establish relationships and partner with customers, users, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to learn and research the product space.
  • Communicate business needs, the overarching vision, and the product roadmap for the business solution to all stakeholders.
  • Monitor the status of pending projects to ensure focus on building relevant products with reliable architecture.
  • Write acceptance criteria and requirements for complex projects while assessing feasibility and business value.
  • Establish product backlogs that flow work to appropriate teams to maximize joint value.
  • Ensure all new features and programs meet business and system requirements.
  • Evaluate potential process and system improvements to identify and prioritize future projects.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to other Product Owners across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in product management, customer experience management, business analysis, software engineering, banking, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, and collaborative mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital technologies, including desktop and mobile.
  • Experience in the banking and/or financial services industries.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
