About the position

The Product Owner for Mobile and Web Solutions at Motorola Solutions is responsible for defining and managing the delivery of innovative community-facing applications. This role focuses on enhancing customer engagement and communication through web and mobile platforms, ensuring that public safety agencies can effectively inform and engage with the communities they serve. The Product Owner will work closely with product managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to prioritize features, maintain a clear product backlog, and drive business success through Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Track business needs, write user stories, and create product requirements to address customer needs.
• Use critical thinking to deliver customer value with available resources and time.
• Collaborate with Engineering to assist with decision-making and sequencing of technological initiatives.
• Negotiate and communicate changes in priority, scope, and timeline within a cross-functional team.
• Develop strong relationships with User Experience and UI Design teams.
• Partner with the product manager in release planning and presenting requirements to engineering teams.
• Utilize product management tools to develop requirements and drive software delivery.
• Hold partners accountable for excellence while working collaboratively.
• Champion innovation while ensuring performance and usability for customers.
• Contribute to product documentation and training materials as a subject matter expert.
• Foster collaboration and communication among team members, stakeholders, and customers.
• Ensure timely and within-scope product delivery, guiding scrum teams through changes in priority and approach.
• Maintain a focus on delivering customer value through Agile methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of professional experience in a SaaS environment.
• Experience with Jira and other product management tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Experience in product management and usability design.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
