Product Owner

About the position

The position involves describing the product with a clear understanding of users and their needs, while developing a product that serves both effectively. The role requires analyzing the impact of proposed solutions across the organization, developing use cases to explain and demonstrate business requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria to users. The individual will inspect and oversee product progress throughout the entire development process, working in an Agile environment by writing user stories and conducting sprint planning and retrospectives. Compliance with data governance policies, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in all integrations is essential. The role also includes facilitating the implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation. Additionally, the individual will provide relevant test scenarios for the testing team and collaborate with them to develop system integration test scripts, ensuring that testing results align with business expectations. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and oversee product progress during entire development process
• Work in an Agile environment, writing user stories, and conducting sprint planning and retrospectives
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in all integrations
• Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation
• Provide relevant test scenarios for the testing team
• Work with test team to develop system integration test scripts and ensure the testing results correspond to the business expectations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor degree
• 3-5 years of experience
• Understanding of data integration tools, platforms (ETL, ELT, API management), and database systems
• Expert knowledge of project management principles and frameworks like Agile or Scrum
• Good communication skills with the ability to be assertive
• Extensive experience in working with end users to elicit and document business requirements
• Strong analytical skills and writing skills, including solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications
• Strong teamwork skills in a small local setting, as well as across different geographic locations
• Strong organization skills with excellent attention to detail
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Visio, Collaboration and Project management tools
• Able to drive short-term actions that are consistent with long-term goals
• Effective listening skills
