About the position

The ART Product Owner will lead team scrums to define the product vision for electronic locking assemblies, roadmap, and growth opportunities, while communicating with stakeholders throughout the project. The role involves collaborating with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align the product roadmap to strategic goals, ensuring that the product backlog is transparent and understood. The Product Owner will work closely with product managers and business teams to create and maintain the product backlog according to business value or ROI. Staying up to date on trends and best practices for agile project management is essential. The position requires planning and prioritizing product development and product feature backlog, developing detailed product feature specifications with clearly testable acceptance criteria, and ensuring they are clearly understood by relevant teams. The Product Owner will assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy, mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals, and mediate between product managers, architects, and developers to ensure feature/story requirements are complete and implemented to the acceptance criteria of done. Additionally, the Product Owner will lead the product-release plans and set expectations for the delivery of new functionalities, serving as a product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving exercising agile methodology in embedded systems.
  • 5 years of experience determining business value related to features and functions of the products under development.
  • 5 years of experience with New Product Development.
  • 4 years of experience with Electronic lock assemblies.
  • 2 years of experience as a product owner for a scrum team or an Agile Release Train involving product development.
  • Up to 10% domestic/international travel.
