About the position

As a Product Owner at Worldpay, you will be part of a small, high-performing team responsible for bringing world-class global fraud solutions to market for our merchant clients. This role involves managing the product lifecycle from design to distribution, ensuring that products meet market and client needs while driving innovation in the fintech industry.

Responsibilities

  • Understand product strategy, market, industry, and client goals.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business problem statements and convert them into user stories.
  • Articulate product vision and user stories in a manner clearly understandable to development teams.
  • Manage backlog of user stories for one or more products.
  • Review and provide feedback on test plans to ensure application changes meet acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor development progress and provide updates to stakeholders as requested.
  • Apply Agile methods and processes to promote a disciplined project management process.
  • Lead planning and review meetings to communicate feedback on development achievements.
  • Provide content for product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery and providing business reasons for any changes made to roadmaps.
  • Complete business scope documents and define user personas for individual products.
  • Manage vendor relationships key to product delivery.
  • Collaborate with vendor support managers for oversight and maintenance of all secondary and support vendor relationships.
  • Interact with key suppliers and partners.
  • Coordinate and facilitate pilot activities acting as primary contact with clients, securing pilot agreements and monitoring progress.
  • Determine success criteria and recommend 'go/no go' decisions.
  • Act as escalation point for client issues that require product change resolution.
  • Determine and approve all service level agreements (SLAs) related to products.
  • Work closely with development teams to review enhancement requests for strategic value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of Fintech operational product experience/knowledge.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience and systems development environment experience are preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, organization, management, analytical and people skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization.
  • Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsiveness to internal and external clients and contacts.
  • Very organized and detail-oriented; able to work with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to analyze issues and devise efficiencies to improve the client experience.
