About the position

Kforce has a client seeking a Product Owner in Tempe, AZ. This role is an Individual Contributor Subject Matter Expert (SME) position that collaborates with Financial Crimes teams on various initiatives aimed at building out and integrating systems and business processes. The Product Owner will act as the Business Product Owner, working closely with cross-functional team members to ensure alignment on business process design as it relates to solution definition. This position requires the individual to provide input for status reporting on the product side of project-oriented work efforts and to own or contribute to the development of business value stream roadmaps. The responsibilities of the Product Owner include identifying and defining current 'As-Is' business processes and 'To-Be' business processes, conducting gap analysis, analyzing requirements, and delivering various project artifacts such as User Stories, Backlogs, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Acceptance Criteria, and User Personas. The role also involves creating Visio screen mock-ups, interface designs, data mapping, and other functional configuration documentation. The Product Owner will conduct Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and analyze requirements to deliver necessary artifacts. Additionally, the individual will configure business workflows in Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) and participate in Product Increment Planning and other planning activities for the assigned work area. The role requires designing and implementing effective change management strategies and plans, which include communication strategies, education and training approaches, and methods for sustaining change after implementation. The Product Owner will also document and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases and test scripts, ensuring that all aspects of the product meet the required standards and expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Business Product Owner
  • Collaborate with cross functional team members to align on business process design as it relates to solution definition
  • Provide input to status reporting for product side of project-oriented work efforts
  • Own or contribute to build out of business value stream roadmaps
  • Identify and define current 'As-Is' business processes and 'To-Be' business processes
  • Conduct gap analysis, analyze requirements and deliver various project artifacts: User stories/Backlog/BRDS, Acceptance Criteria, Definition of Done, User persona, Visio screen mock-ups, Interface designs, Data Mapping and other functional configuration documentations
  • Conduct JAD sessions
  • Analyze requirements and deliver various artifacts if needed: Visio screen mock-ups, Interface designs, Data Mapping
  • Configure business workflows in Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) 8.0.5 product and/or other platforms (if needed)
  • Participate in Product Increment Planning, s planning, and t-shirt sizing activities for assigned work area
  • Design and implement effective change management strategies and plans
  • Document and Execute UAT Test cases and Test scripts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CAMS certification is highly preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Product owner/business analyst related to Financial Crimes, BSA and OFAC
  • Hands on knowledge in CIP, CDD, EDD, Customer Risk Rating, SAR filing, CTR, 314a, 314b, Transactions screening, PEP/Adverse Media party screening, etc.
  • Business Systems Analysis knowledge in Agile framework & Agile tools
  • Experience in drafting backlogs, PI & s planning, burn down & burn up metrics, KPIs
  • Hands on experience in drafting Map & Gap analysis, Workflows & Wireframes, User Stories/Business Requirements, UAT, SQL queries, Data Mapping, Deployment plan, Business Roll Back plan, Change Management, Training
  • Advanced Business Systems Analysis experience
  • Experience working in Core Banking Systems, Payment Systems, Middleware and Transaction Screening Systems
  • Deep understanding of Commercial Banking operations
  • Demonstrate prior experience in developing seamless end-to-end digital solutions across organizational boundaries
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Ability to bring waterfall teams to agile capabilities
  • Ability to standup and work with new scrum pods on new development projects
  • Must possess strong communication skills, exhibits business acumen and communication skills that includes verbal, written, and active listening
