About the position

The Product Stewardship Specialist at Formosa Plastics Corporation, USA is responsible for assisting in the planning, design, and implementation of product stewardship and product quality compliance programs across various divisions. This role involves coordinating compliance with domestic and global regulations, responding to customer inquiries, and maintaining regulatory documentation. The specialist will also support the development of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of product stewardship and product quality compliance programs.
  • Coordinate compliance with domestic and global regulations related to product stewardship programs.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and questionnaires regarding product stewardship and regulatory information.
  • Coordinate with various divisions to develop and implement the EPR program.
  • Review and update internal compliance procedures and participate in audits of product stewardship program compliance.
  • Maintain regulatory statements, declarations, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all branded products.
  • Provide resources to relevant staff departments regarding product stewardship requirements.
  • Perform product/material specification reviews and respond to customer inquiries.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years in a chemical-related regulatory role.
  • Experience or knowledge in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the company's product portfolio beneficial.
  • Experience working and communicating with different staff departments (e.g., Sales, Production, Technical).
  • Knowledge of EPA and FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, and food packaging considerations.
  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational, time, and project management skills.
  • Ability to evaluate situations, identify options, and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong computer skills, highly proficient with Microsoft Office functions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in technical writing.
  • Knowledge of scientific, regulatory, and technical terminology.
