About the position

The Production Assembly Supervisor (ATO) at Intralox is responsible for overseeing production operations at the Sparrows Point, MD facility. This role focuses on ensuring on-time, accurate, and complete deliverables while prioritizing safety and quality. The supervisor will implement Lean concepts, develop team members, and maintain accountability for people, equipment, and tools, contributing to the continuous improvement philosophy of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure on-time, accurate, and complete deliverables for production areas.
  • Contribute to and execute important processes, develop people, and ensure quality.
  • Monitor capacity and schedules while prioritizing safety.
  • Organize stakeholders upstream and downstream to accomplish goals.
  • Implement Lean concepts to improve productivity and quality.
  • Work closely with manufacturing engineering to improve safety and ergonomics.
  • Maintain continuous accountability of people, equipment, and tools.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership to overcome obstacles.
  • Conduct regular planning for capacity and resource allocation.
  • Evaluate work performance and conduct performance reviews.
  • Identify skills and knowledge gaps in team members and coach them to close those gaps.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors, Leads, and Managers to increase productivity and ensure quality.
  • Lead operational, safety, and equipment training for team members.
  • Communicate updates to stakeholders and other departments as needed.
  • Manage floor-level day-to-day staff including staffing schedules and performance management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least one (1) year of previous supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work overtime, flexible schedules, holidays, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • A valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Management, Production Management, Supply Chain, or commensurate experience.
  • Previous experience with fabrication/electrical installation.
  • Previous experience with Lean/5S concepts.
  • Previous experience with an ORACLE operating system.
  • Intralox equipment/product knowledge.
