About the position

The Production Coordinator/Operations Assistant at the SOU Digital Media Center/RVTV is responsible for supporting the weekly operations of RVTV and assisting with various production services offered to campus and regional clients. This role involves videography, video editing, A/V services, and contributing to live streaming events. The position also includes coordinating instructional workshops in production technology and providing technical support for academic classes utilizing DMC resources.

Responsibilities

  • Operate multi-camera TV systems for RVTV Government television live meetings and events.
  • Assist with channel scheduling, bulletin board updating, and master control operation for RVTV channels.
  • Provide production coordination and post-production support for SOU Digital Media Center productions.
  • Support SOU and RVTV media education classes and programs, including equipment maintenance and technical support.
  • Contribute content for social media assets and assist with marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Five years of television production videography experience, including at least two years of broadcast quality experience.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience with a high level of diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • BA/BS in communication, film/television, media, or similar.
  • Experience with broadcast television production and multi-camera robotic production systems.
  • Professional certifications in modern digital production or post-production.
