Production Line Lead

About the position

Air Squared Manufacturing, Inc. is an OEM manufacturer of scroll type compressors, vacuum pumps and expanders for the medical, aerospace, fuel cell and power generation industries. Air Squared offers exciting career opportunities working on projects including NASA MOXIE, Leading Electric and Autonomous Vehicle OEM, DOE Clean Energy initiatives ranging from nuclear fusion and the Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-e), and other cutting-edge projects. This position is responsible for all personnel and performance related to a single production line or product group. Their role is to ensure optimal production efficiency through regular monitoring and management of staffing, work assignments, productivity, line balancing, quality oversight, personnel development, etc. They will be expected to put their knowledge into practice and bring excellence to manufacturing within their area of responsibility. They will process or delegate any administrative needs for their production area. They will contribute to the development of their team members by providing regular constructive feedback, motivation, and cross-training plans. This is a working leadership role, so when not performing leadership duties, they will contribute to the assembly process.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the assembly team.
• Ensure production schedules are met.
• Report production metrics and communicate needs at daily production meetings.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures.
• Perform layered process audits.
• Monitor daily production processes to ensure good quality of the products.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments for process optimization.
• Make suggestions for and participate in continual improvement activities.
• Communicate directly with Production Supervisor and Engineers, advocating for support or resources as required.
• Lead the development and training initiatives for the assembly team.
• Organize and lead production line inventory counts per the material control schedule.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and provide feedback for improvement and development.
