Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the production process, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of production supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Collaborate with other departments, including quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain product quality.
- Monitor production metrics and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
- Coordinate training and development programs for production staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Manage production budgets, controlling costs while meeting production targets and deadlines.
- Participate in product development initiatives, collaborating with R&D to introduce new products.
- Prepare and present reports on production performance to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in a food or dairy production environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Solid understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with production management software.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
